1. Who we are

Elite Drone School operates the website at elitedroneschool.com and the browser-based 3D drone simulator. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: automatically when you browse the site, voluntarily when you fill out a form, and through authentication when you sign in.

• Usage data: pages viewed, session duration, scroll depth, clicks, referrer URL, device type, browser, approximate location from IP address, UTM parameters, and a temporary session identifier.
• Lead and email data: email address, name, company or organization, role, interest area, seat count, and message submitted through lead forms, newsletter subscriptions, or briefing offers.
• LinkedIn sign-in data: when you choose to sign in with LinkedIn, we receive your LinkedIn profile identifier, name, email address, and profile photo URL through OpenID Connect. We use this to create or link your account and to record your briefing subscription as a lead.
• Simulator telemetry: flight logs, mission scores, and lesson progress when you are signed in. Anonymous simulator sessions are not tied to an email or account.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use the site. These services set cookies and read device identifiers. Data sent to them includes page paths, events such as form submissions, and campaign parameters.

We configure analytics with IP anonymization where available and do not send personally identifiable fields such as email addresses to advertising platforms. You can block analytics cookies and scripts through your browser or ad-blocker settings.

4. Email collection and use

Email addresses collected through newsletter forms, briefing offers, lead capture, or course inquiries are stored in our backend database. We use them to send the content you requested, such as the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday drone market briefings, plus occasional product updates related to the simulator and FAA training courses.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also request removal by contacting support.

5. LinkedIn sign-in

Signing in with LinkedIn is optional. When you authorize it, LinkedIn shares a profile identifier, name, email, and avatar. We use this to create or update your account, pre-fill your briefing lead record, and keep you signed in. We do not post to LinkedIn on your behalf, read your connections, or access messages.

You can revoke sign-in access at any time by deleting your Elite Drone School account or by managing authorized apps in your LinkedIn settings.

6. How we share data

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site: hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing. Each provider is contractually limited to using data only for the service they provide to us.

7. Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected.

• Analytics: aggregated event and session data is retained for up to 26 months, after which it is deleted or further aggregated so it can no longer identify an individual.
• Lead and email records: retained while you remain subscribed or interested, plus up to 24 months of inactivity, unless you request deletion sooner.
• LinkedIn profile data: retained as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes the linked sign-in record.
• Flight logs and training progress: retained for the lifetime of your account so you can review missions and certificates.

8. Cookies and storage

We use cookies and browser storage for authentication, analytics, session tracking, and UTM attribution. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings. Some features, such as signed-in simulator progress, require cookies to function.

9. Your choices

You can:

• Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message.
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your account and associated records.
• Disable analytics and advertising trackers through browser settings or extensions.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections, secure authentication tokens, and row-level access controls in our database. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows the current version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised policy.
