Flying anywhere on Earth with live conditions.

Can I fly anywhere in the world in the simulator?

Yes. The simulator uses Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles and streams terrain and buildings for anywhere on Earth. Use the location picker, place search, or the "My Location" button to drop the drone at any latitude and longitude: cities, farmland, coastlines, or remote inspection sites.

Does the simulator use live weather and real sun position?

Yes. Live METAR weather (wind, visibility, ceiling, cloud cover, flight category, altimeter) is fetched from the nearest reporting station and refreshes every 30 seconds. The sun is positioned from your current latitude, longitude, and local time, so lighting cycles through day, dusk, and night to match real conditions.

Is ground elevation and terrain clearance accurate?

Yes. Ground elevation is pulled from live elevation providers (Open-Meteo and Open-Elevation) so the drone spawns at the correct altitude, and a ground-clearance clamp prevents the aircraft from sinking below terrain.

Can I search for a specific place to fly?

Yes. The place search box geocodes worldwide, so you can type something like "Gweru city center, Zimbabwe" or a landmark name and fly there immediately. Recent locations are cached so you do not have to re-grant location permission each session.

Can I see real street, freeway, and landmark names while flying?

Yes. OpenStreetMap data labels streets and freeways in 3D, with route numbers such as I-10 E taking priority over local names, plus cities, airports, hospitals, schools, and other landmarks. Every label layer can be toggled from the HUD.

What are the flight controls?

WASD or the on-screen joystick moves the aircraft, Q and E yaw, and throttle and elevation are on the paired axis. Gimbal pitch is on its own control and C triggers the camera shutter for inspection captures. Every HUD panel can be shown or hidden from the toggle bar, and your preferences persist between sessions.

Airspace & compliance data

FAA TFRs, LAANC ceilings, and live traffic.

Does the simulator show FAA airspace, TFRs, and LAANC ceilings?

Yes. Live FAA data draws Temporary Flight Restriction polygons and the LAANC UAS Facility Map ceiling for your grid cell on a toggleable map overlay. In-sim audio and HUD alerts fire when you enter a TFR or climb above the LAANC ceiling.

Is there live manned-aircraft traffic?

Yes. Live ADS-B traffic is streamed near your position so you can practice scanning, deconfliction, and see-and-avoid habits against real aircraft tracks rather than scripted targets.

What about compliance, insurance, and audit trails?

Every simulated flight is logged with operator ID, mission type, scenario, and proficiency score. Records export via the Developer API for LMS integration, insurer documentation, and FAA audit response. Enterprise plans add progress dashboards for training officers and webhook events for downstream HR or compliance systems.

Swarm operations

Can the simulator run drone swarm operations?

Yes. Swarm Operations mode runs up to 200 coordinated agents over real worldwide terrain with boid-style flocking (separation, alignment, cohesion), formation flight, blue-versus-red pursuit, mesh-network comms ranges, and click-to-set transit routes with a chase camera that streams terrain as the swarm moves.

What swarm missions can I run?

Three scripted missions ship today: area search with a lane-by-lane sweep over an adjustable box, perimeter defense with evenly spaced stations that break only for penetrators, and relay chain where nodes string themselves one radio hop apart.

What can I do from the operator console?

You read swarm health and link status, reassign the role mix live (strike, scout, relay, jammer), inject node-loss drills such as killing relays, tune flocking weights, and pick the lost-link fallback procedure: dead reckon, hold, or return to base.

Are electronic warfare and comms-loss drills included?

Yes. Jammer agents degrade links inside their radius, GPS-denied dead reckoning kicks in when nodes lose position fix, and the console lets you rehearse fallback procedures under progressive signal degradation.

Is there a lesson library and scenario practice outside the simulator?

Yes. The Learn section has 37 lessons across 8 categories with saved progress, including swarm C2 operator skills and unclassified doctrine case studies. The Walkthroughs section has branching decision drills (low battery, pop-up TFR, lost link, marginal weather, crowd overflight, LAANC ceiling) with scoring breakdowns, saved attempts, and a searchable glossary.

How are my missions graded?

Inspection and route scenarios are anchored to real landmarks and evaluated live against standoff distance, gimbal aim, and capture quality. At the end you get a mission debrief with an A to F grade covering route completion, track precision, and inspection quality against the stated objective.

How fast can we onboard a new operator?

Days, not months. A trainee can complete Part 107 coursework, log simulated mission hours anywhere on Earth, and run BVLOS contingency drills without waiting for clear weather, available airframes, or a chase pilot. Most physical flight schools quote 4 to 8 weeks per pilot; our enterprise customers measure first-mission-ready in under two weeks.

How does simulation reduce time-to-deploy?

Three ways. Parallel throughput: every seat is independent, so 50 operators train at once without 50 airframes. Repeatable hard scenarios: lost link, DAA conflicts, gust fronts, and GPS-denied navigation are practiced on demand. Risk-free reps: operators make expensive mistakes in pixels before touching a $40K LiDAR rig.

FAA certification

Part 107, Part 108 BVLOS, and Part 137.

What FAA certifications does the curriculum cover?

FAA Part 107 (Remote Pilot), Part 108 (BVLOS, expected 2026), and Part 137 (Dispensing Chemicals and Agricultural Products with UAS). All three courses, practice quizzes, and certification tests are included in every individual plan.

What is BVLOS and why does it matter in 2026?

Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight operations let a drone fly past where the operator can see it, the prerequisite for autonomous delivery, long-range inspection, and large-area search and rescue. FAA Part 108 is the first rule granting BVLOS at commercial scale without case-by-case waivers, so Part 108 operators will be the hiring bottleneck across the industry.

Will simulator hours count toward FAA currency requirements?

Part 107 currency is knowledge-based (recurrent training every 24 months) and our curriculum covers it directly. For Part 108 and operator proficiency standards, simulation hours are increasingly recognized in industry frameworks, and your training records, mission logs, and proficiency scores export via our API for audit trails and insurance documentation.

Individual plans are $97/mo monthly, $246 every 3 months ($82/mo, save 15%), or $840/year ($70/mo, save 28%). Every plan includes the full Part 107, Part 108, and Part 137 courses, unlimited simulator access, and instructor support.

What do I need to run the simulator?

A modern desktop or laptop browser with hardware acceleration and a stable connection. Nothing to install: terrain, weather, airspace, and traffic all stream in the browser. Mobile works for lessons, walkthroughs, and light flying, but full swarm operations are best on a desktop GPU.
